Introducing the Airmiles Reward Category on Plum Storefront

We are enabling a new Airmiles category on the Plum Storefront for your account. This allows end-users to redeem their points for airline miles from selected airline partners directly through the storefront interface.

What is the integration method?

  1. Plum Storefront (SSO + iFrame Integration):
This is a standard SSO and iframe integration for Plum Storefront. The integration is lightweight and doesn't require complex backend setup.
  2. API Integration:
For clients seeking a fully native experience, the Airmiles API can be integrated directly into your platform to enable end-to-end redemption, tracking, and reporting.

Which airline partners will be available?

The following airline partners will be available:

  1. Qatar Airways
  2. Air Arabia
  3. Air Asia
  4. SriLankan Airlines
  5. Garuda Indonesia
  6. SpiceJet
  7. Gulf Air
  8. Citi Link

How will users redeem Airmiles?

Users can seamlessly redeem their points for Airmiles through two convenient methods:

Via the Plum Storefront (SSO Login):

Users can log in to the Plum Storefront using SSO and redeem their points for Airmiles from the available airline partners. The entire redemption process is fully digital and contained within the storefront experience.

Via API Integration:

Clients can directly integrate the Airmiles API into their own platforms to enable in-app redemption experiences — providing users with a native, branded redemption flow.

Note: The Airmiles category is available only upon customer request and requires airline-specific approval before activation.
To enable a particular airline, please contact [email protected].

Can new airlines be added later?

Yes, more airline partners will be added over time.

What will the price per mile be?

The price per mile varies by airline and is subject to change based on airline partner agreements and conversion rates. Specific pricing details for each airline can be shared upon request or viewed within the Plum Storefront once the category is live. Please reach out to your account manager for the latest rate card.

Are we and our clients allowed to use airline logos and/or frequent flyer program (FFP) branding assets to promote the partnership? If so, how does that process typically work?

  1. Use of airline logos and FFP branding is subject to approval from each airline partner. In most cases:
  2. Logos and assets can be used within the Plum Storefront, as per brand guidelines agreed with the partner.
  3. For external promotional use (e.g., marketing materials, emailers, client websites), pre-approval from the airline partner is required.
  4. Requests for such usage should be routed through the Plum team, who will coordinate with the respective airline to obtain approval.
  5. We recommend not using any airline branding externally without explicit written permission to avoid compliance issues.

Will the miles be credited instantly or in what time frame?

Airline mile crediting times vary by partner but generally follow these guidelines:

  1. Most redemptions are processed within 24–72 hours.
  2. Some airlines may take up to 5–7 business days, depending on their backend processing systems.

Exact timelines will be shown on the storefront at the time of redemption, and users will receive a confirmation once their miles have been successfully credited.
